The world’s leading Indo – Jazz fusion are- Baluji Shrivastav, Chris Conway and Linda Shanovitch. Celebrating  Jazz, Eastern European, Middle Eastern and Indian  with a kaleidoscope of rhythms and melodies.

The core of Jazz Orient / Re- Orient are Baluji Shrivastav, Chris Conway and Linda Shanovitch who celebrate Jazz, Eastern European, Middle Eastern and Indian music creating a kaleidoscope of rhythms and melodies, with intricate patterns of percussive footwork and graceful movements from Indian dance. With six albums so far and several tours guest artists include Fiaz Khan, Guy Barker, Andy Sheppard, Hossam Ramzy, Sakari Kukku, Talvin Singh, Mike Parker, Gerry Hunt, Andy Platt, and Eric Junkes. With a dazzling array of instruments and full of surprises music from Jazz Orient is for the heart, mind and soul.

Jazz Orient Biography
Baluji Shrivastav

Multi-instrumentalist uniquely recording classical CDs on sitar, surbhahar, and dilruba. Performed all over the world and worked with many famous western artists - Massive Attack, Soul II Soul, and Annie Lennox to name a few.

Linda Shanovitch

A unique vocal artist, combining her interest in jazz, opera and studies in Indian Classical music and dance and years spent living in Mexico to make a unique musical palette from which she draws amazing performances.

Chris Conway

A multi-instrumental wizard, active in the jazz, world music, new age and folk worlds. He has many years experience in Indian fusion music having worked with Dr L Subramanium, Ramesh Mishra, Gavin Bryars, and others.
