The Inner Vision Orchestra appear on fROOTS Magazine


...The brainchild of Baluji Shrivastav, the Indian-born virtuoso sitar player and composer, his Inner Vision Orchestra is populated by musicians of varying ages from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds from Peggy to Nigerian singer Victoria Oruwari, with the Lebanon, Japan, Iran, the UK (and India) all represented. The music is a smörgåsbord of music from these different places with a smattering of blues and jazz and Spanish guitar thrown in. The multicultural theme is clear, but when it comes to crossing boundaries, what underpins this music and the experience of it is the confronting and possibly the transcendence of personal barriers...

Inner Vision Orchestra featured in TIME OUT blog

What’s it like to be blind? Most of us probably can’t even imagine it, so the ‘London Without Limits’ festival has arranged a load of blindfolded events to help us try and understand. From blind dining to blind wine tasting and blind running, there’s loads going on and it’s all to help ‘beat the lonely reality of childhood sight loss’. Wine tasting for a good cause? We’re in!

Inner Vision Orchestra Documentary

INNER VISION is a feature-length documentary about the Inner Vision Orchestra, its members and their stories, struggles and triumphs. With some players born blind and others experiencing sight loss in their life, the heart of this film will reveal intimate portraits of key characters from around the world, and how creativity has helped them overcome the challenges imposed by sight loss.
