Fereshteh Khousroujerdy

Vocals

Fereshteh sings in Farsi, Dari, Turkish and English. Born on the border of Iran and Afghanistan, Fereshteh always loved to sing, but was forbidden to do so by her family. It has only been since coming to the UK as a refugee in 2007 that she has been free to pursue her dream of being a singer. Encouraged by the Baluji Music Foundation, she is now fulfilling that dream as a key performer in the Inner Vision orchestra. She was named one of BBC's 100 Women in 2013.

Baluji Shrivastav OBE

“For Inner Vision I don’t want it to just be a collaboration between UK and India, more like UK / Bosnia, UK / Iran. Make it universal. That way we can have more musical traditions!”
