Rikki Jodelko

Guitarist and Vocalist

Rikki has been playing guitar since he was a child but started to take it seriously from the age of 16 while staying with a German family. Rikki is a founder member of creative arts charity Heart n’Soul and has toured with the company many times in Britain, Europe and the Far East. Rikki is also in his own band Jodelko with his brother Jan, performing Rikki's jazz compositions and he plays and sings in Metropolis, a soul/funk band which has performed at many premier British clubs, including Ronny Scott's in Soho.

Rikki's musical interests are strongly reflected in his playing and singing styles and are centred around jazz, funk, soul, R&B and blues, but he loves all kinds of music. He is also an able linguist presenting his own programme, Cita Ciega (blind date) on the internet radio station, Aculco Radio, interviewing his guests mainly in Spanish but occasionally in German and English.

“For Inner Vision I don’t want it to just be a collaboration between UK and India, more like UK / Bosnia, UK / Iran. Make it universal. That way we can have more musical traditions!”
