An evening of haunting music from India and Greece. The Lyra is an ancient three-stringed instrument from Crete. It represents the lyre of legendary Orpheus whose music was said to be so great that even inanimate objects such as rocks could be charmed. Dimitris Menexopoulos is one of the few exponents of the Lyra. His lyrical music interacts with the sitar and Dilruba to create a mesmerising and unique tapestry of sound.
