The Inner Vision Orchestra was founded in 2012 and is the world's only professional ensemble of blind musicians. Our extensive repertoire moves between songs from Iran, Lebanon, Afghanistan, India, Nigeria, to soulful Gospel and Blues to sublime Indian Ragas and Western Classical compositions. We celebrate the diversity of its talented members who have been brought together from around the world by Indian maestro Baluji Shrivastav OBE. Members of the orchestra burst onto the world stage at the Paralympics in 2012 and recently performed International Unlimited Commission ‘Antardrishti - Inner Vision’ to full audiences at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Norwich Arts Centre, The Royal Opera House in Mumbai and The British Council Theatre in Delhi.
The Inner Vision Orchestra tours and performs in prominent venues nationally, and is currently running a series of virtual concerts. Members of the orchestra also give music workshops which are free to attend for all blind and partially sighted people, and these are also currently held virtually. 'Driven by the intensity of an inner vision we believe in the power of music to transform lives!'

I am originally from Iran, and I am blind. When I first met Baluji I couldn’t speak too much. People thought I was just blind, just a person with a disability. When they asked me to speak I would start crying. They never thought of me as a normal person. But Baluji gave me a chance to find my confidence, and to be able to talk easily. Now I speak so much people want me to shut up!
